This Privacy Policy explains how Tech Chefs ("we," "us," or the "Service Provider") collects, uses, and protects information when you use the CookOut mobile application (the "Application").
Information Collection and Use
The Application collects information when you download and use it. This information may include:
- Your device's Internet Protocol address
- The pages of the Application that you visit, and when
- The time spent on the Application
- Your mobile operating system
If you create an account, we may also collect information you provide directly, such as your username, email address, and any content you choose to submit (for example, recipes, reviews, or dietary preferences).
Cookies and Tracking Technologies
The Application and its third-party services may use cookies, SDKs, or similar technologies to support functionality and analytics. Where required by law, we will obtain your consent before using non-essential tracking technologies.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to operate and improve the Application, provide the features you use, and, where permitted, send you important notices or updates. Only aggregated, anonymized data is periodically shared with third parties to help us improve the Application.
Artificial Intelligence
The Application includes an AI-powered chatbot that recommends ingredient substitutions based on the information you provide, such as your dietary preferences or restrictions. To generate these recommendations, the chatbot processes the inputs you give it during that conversation.
Third Party Service Providers
We may employ third-party companies to facilitate our service and to assist in analyzing how our service is used. These parties have access to your personal information only to perform tasks assigned to them on our behalf.
Data Retention
We retain account information for as long as you use the Application, plus a limited period afterward, unless a longer period is required by law. You may request deletion of your data at any time, including by deleting your account from Settings in the app.
Your Rights
You can stop further data collection by uninstalling the Application. Uninstalling does not automatically delete information already transmitted to us. You can review, update, or remove certain information in Settings, and you can delete your account entirely from Settings.
Data Security
We use reasonable physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect the information we process. If a data breach affects your personal data, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted in the Application and on this page with an updated effective date.
